A little flashback...
After a very long journey of giving multiple competitive exams like JEE, KCET, BITSAT etc. It was finally time to get into College! I chose to stay in my hometown for my undergraduation. I had long back decided that I wanted to pursue Computer Science Engineering for my interest in Tech. Living in a small town, I hardly had any choices of college's to choose from.
Funfact: My siblings and cousins went to the same college that I was about to go to! I was super excited to start college and honestly I was so done with all the studying that I did in my 11th and 12th. But surprisingly I ended up topping the college in my first year! :p
How was college?
I had just two things in mind entering college, 1. Participate in a lot of events. 2. Explore as much as I can. And I did that. Participated in a lot of college events like treasure hunts, quizzes and went to College fest’s, had lots of fun! Explored and Experimented a lot, started from Mobile App development using Flutter to learning and implementing a project on Machine Learning for MICROSOFT ENGAGE and getting to interview with Microsoft! Shifted focus to Web development using MERN Stack and learning the dreaded DSA. I wasn’t really satisfied with what I was doing.. I wanted to do something different.
Getting on the design ship..
I randomly came across a college senior’s profile on LinkedIn and noticed that he was working as a Product Designer, that was the first time I came across that term. I was very intrigued and had a long chat with the senior about the field. I liked what I heard from him and wanted to give it a try and see if I actually liked it. As anybody else I started with the famous Daily UI challenge. I then went on to build my 1st Case Study - Trippy and it was so much fun to do that! To see your idea take the shape of an App was an absolute delight! I thoroughly enjoyed the process of designing it. And now I was ready to jump on the ship!
